About this product

Cheena’s canned pull-top wild sockeye salmon is made up of hand-packed meat and bones and is full of natural nutrients. The diet of sockeye salmon from the Pacific Northwest consists of krill and phytoplankton, which provides a rich source of iron, selenium, vitamins A, B and D and omega 3, 6 and 9. Through our canning process, the bones become very soft which then blend into the meat making it edible and easily digested. This is a very nutritious meal rich in protein and bone-building calcium (there is over 2000mg of calcium per can). Salt is not added to this product.

Questions

When will my gift arrive?

About 4 to 7 days once we process your order. Customs queues in peak season, earthquakes or typhoons can cause delays, so order early for a date that matters.

Can I choose a delivery time?

Yes. Choose morning, 14:00 to 16:00, 16:00 to 18:00, 18:00 to 20:00 or 19:00 to 21:00 in your cart. Please keep in mind these specific delivery time slots do not apply to certain remote regions.

Does smoked salmon need to be refrigerated?

No, our smoked salmon does not have to be refrigerated if the pouch is unopened. Our special process of smoking and cooking at high temperature, called retorting, allows it to be kept without refrigeration for 3 years. However, once the pouch has been opened, the salmon must be refrigerated. This is why our smoked salmon is perfect to send to family and friends around the world.

Can I include a message?

Yes, you can write your message in your cart and we will enclose it with your gift at no charge.

Can I send stroopwafels or chocolates during the summer months?

We advise against sending stroopwafels, chocolates and candies from July 1 to September 30, when Japan's heat and humidity can affect their quality. If the sender chooses to send them during this period, the sender will be responsible for any quality issues.

What currency are prices in?

Canadian dollars. We accept orders from anywhere in the world: if you are ordering from the US, Europe, Japan or elsewhere, your card provider converts the currency at checkout.
